What is the free English Question Words Quiz?
The English Question Words Quiz is a free web app for practicing English question words in a 4-choice quiz format.
All questions, choices, examples, and hints are independently created for this app. The quiz does not reproduce textbook passages, workbook exercises, entrance exam questions, test questions, or official materials.
Practice question words from elementary to junior high level
Students can practice what, who, whose, which, where, when, why, how, and common how phrases such as how many, how much, how old, how long, how far, and how often.
The courses move from basic meaning practice to sentence-pattern practice using be-verbs, do/does/did, can/will, and short conversation situations.

Question words become much easier when students first ask, “What kind of answer will come after this question?” A person points to who, a place points to where, a reason points to why, and a price often points to how much.
This quiz repeatedly connects the answer type, the English question word, and the sentence order, so learners can practice the small decisions that make wh-questions feel natural.
