What you can practice

Each quiz asks you to read a Japanese sentence and choose the English sentence that best matches the meaning, word order, grammar, and natural expression.

Junior high learners can review be verbs, general verbs, questions, negatives, comparatives, modals, infinitives, and gerunds. Senior high learners can review passives, present perfect, relative clauses, participles, connectors, and more natural sentence structures.

Hints that show how to build the sentence

The hint changes according to the current question. Word-order cards and check points help learners think through tense, subject-verb agreement, passive voice, relative clauses, and connector logic.
