This is an unofficial learning site. It is not the official Japanese-Language Proficiency Test website and is not connected with the Japan Foundation or Japan Educational Exchanges and Services.

The questions in this app are not official exam questions, official workbooks, official sample questions, past papers, or official listening scripts. All questions, choices, explanations, example sentences, listening scripts, and MP3 audio are created independently for this quiz.

What you can practice

This free 4-choice quiz is designed for JLPT N5-level learners who want quick practice in basic Japanese. Original hints and review

Each question has original hints. The hints explain the role of kana, kanji readings, vocabulary meaning, particles such as は・を・に・で, grammar patterns, reading keywords, and conversation situations.

My Page stores challenge history, best results, and often missed questions, so learners can review weak points repeatedly.

Practice topics included in this quiz

This app focuses on N5-level study areas that match the quiz content: vocabulary, grammar, kanji readings, hiragana, katakana, particles, numbers and time, days of the week, short reading, beginner Japanese, simple conversation, and short listening-style prompts.

The quiz is especially useful when you want short practice for language knowledge, listening, and reading: kana recognition, common beginner words, basic particles, simple verb and adjective forms, everyday greetings, price and place questions, very short listening prompts, and very short reading passages. Official-style listening scripts, official answer sheets, and copied official exam layouts are not included.
